About
The Children's Advocacy Center's mission is to provide each child who has suffered abuse with justice hope and healing. We do this by using a multi-disciplinary team approach to bring together 24 agencies who work child abuse cases. The staff of the Children's Advocacy Center are responsible for intake, personal advocacy services, forensic interviews, trauma assessments, crisis intervention, therapy services, work with Therapy Dogs and K-9 Advocates, assistance with Crime Victim's Compensation paperwork, court school, trial accompaniment, and access to our special programs like "Summer Safety Camp" and our "Soaring to New Heights Project" that exposes kids to college and university settings and the arts.
Our staff meet once a week to discuss all cases and the entire team meets once a month to track the progress of each child's case. This approach has greatly enhanced the integrity and successful prosecution of these difficult and complex cases.
