Cocodrie’s Bayou Kitchen

 I am from south Louisiana and I graduated from Nicholls state and didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was visiting friends and brought shrimp to cook dinner in exchange for their hospitality.

My dad own a shrimp dock so that’s what I always did growing up. 

My friend convinced me to sell my family’s shrimp and keep a freezer in their garage. Over time I gathered a few customers and made my trips worth my time. 

Eventually I realized how much of a demand there is for Cajun products and how many Louisiana transplants there are up here. I figured with the right platform I could be my best customer. 

I eventually found a place and was given the opportunity of a lifetime. Someone invested in me and my vision. I simply made it happen.

At Cocodries bayou kitchen we embody the spirit of south Louisiana. Hard work and good times. Cocodrie is a small fishing community in south Louisiana where good food, friendship and times are had. It’s where I always wanted to be, and now it’s where I’m always at. I made myself at home and we welcome yall to do the same! 

At cocodries we share that culture with you. Wayne toups plays on our speakers along with other Cajun classics that bring you back. Ettouffee, gumbo, boudin, boiled seafood( Cajun style, no butter bags here) Po-boys, and the best crawfish in Texas!! We sell crawfish live or boiled and we cater too! You want spices? We dot dat too! We got a great selection of retail items and a freezer full of frozen items to take home. When someone walks in and tells me they’re from south Louisiana all I can say is welcome home. We gonna take care of ya sha.
