The Hickman Rural Health Clinic handles everyday visits, with our amazing and exceptional team of providers.  Dr. James S. Williams brings more than 30 years of emergency and family medicine experience to the team, while his colleague Dr. Zhen Lu brings in a fresh layer of engagement and passion to making a true difference in the health of our community. In-house laboratory and imaging services keep critical diagnostics close to home, as well as our comprehensive hospital and retail pharmacy and rehabilitative therapy services. And for patients who need a little extra time before heading home, they can get that care in our amazing swing bed program. Our senior population is not left out with the Care Center and Senior Life Solutions.

Behind it all is a simple idea the district puts front and center. A Helen Keller quote greets visitors on its homepage: “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” The team keeps growing to match that spirit, and it recently welcomed Dr. Zhen Lu as its newest provider. Patients can even keep tabs on their care through the MyCareCorner patient portal. That hometown dedication to patients of every age helped earn Reagan Hospital District their 2026 Best of Texas Award.
