Small Campers, Legendary Summers

Few moments top the one when a preschooler marches out of camp wearing a homemade astronaut helmet. There might be paint on one sleeve, and a full mission report is ready for the car ride home. In Katy, that scene plays out all summer long at Romp n' Roll Katy. The indoor play and enrichment center is built exclusively for kids ages 3 months to 5 years. The entire space is designed with soft surfaces, padded flooring, and child-scaled equipment for little bodies.

Summer camps are the main event. Each week brings a fresh theme designed specifically for campers ages 2 to 5, ranging from pirate adventures to a cozy pajama party. Days mix active play in the gym with arts and imaginative projects, like crafting pirate hats or a towering brontosaurus. Music Circle keeps the beat with egg shakers and rhythm sticks. Groups stay small, with no more than seven campers per instructor. That means every child gets real attention, along with plenty of new friends. Parents get a trusted place for summer days, and kids get a summer that lives up to the center's promise: “Where Little Feels Legendary.”

The fun doesn't pause when camp wraps up. Year-round classes continue the fun through gym, music and art, and other enrichment activities. Most classes are Grown-Up Inclusive, inviting parents and caregivers to play alongside their little ones. Private birthday parties give families the entire center to themselves, while the party team handles the activities, setup, and cleanup. Open play sessions give kids a chance to explore, move and socialize at their own pace. And now, Romp n' Roll Katy is celebrating their 2026 Best of Texas Award, earned in the Summer Camps category. Next summer's astronauts are already warming up.
