Houston, We Have Windows

Golden hour in Houston has a way of turning even a modest living room into something cinematic. The low sun slants through the glass just right for a few unhurried minutes before dinner, and it's the kind of light that makes people fall in love with a house all over again. For plenty of homeowners across Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Montgomery counties, that glow gets an assist from The Window Source of Houston. The company has quietly built a reputation for delivering exactly those kinds of newly gorgeous sightlines.

The company's approach starts with a founder's story that shapes how every appointment unfolds. David Mallette spent four years in the Marine Corps before building a replacement window and door business rooted in the values he learned there: honor, courage, and commitment. That translates into free in-home consultations instead of high-pressure sales pitches, and every replacement window and door being custom-built to fit a home's exact proportions rather than forced into a standard frame. It's a philosophy the team sums up simply: "Beautiful windows that won't break the bank!" Backed by a lifetime warranty and more than twenty-five years of combined industry experience, the team treats replacement windows and doors as one connected upgrade, not two separate sales.

That same commitment to doing right by neighbors has carried into the company's standing across the Houston area, where its team continues serving Harris, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Montgomery counties with the same code they started with. The recognition arrives as The Window Source of Houston earns their 2026 Best of Texas Award, a fitting mark of a business that treats every window and door as a small act of hospitality rather than just another job on the schedule.
